One bad broker. One underinsured transporter. Nine totaled cars and $20,000 out of pocket for me

Why we exist
2019
I sold my first car and needed to ship it from Miami to New York. At the time, I owned trucks and managed drivers—but we transported food for B2B clients, not cars. I was in transportation, but not this kind. Since we didn't handle car shipping, I called a number from Google. He said he could arrange it cheap. I took the bait.
My car got picked up. But the person who arranged the transport never verified anything. He was a broker with an expired bond. He booked a carrier who had only a fraction of the insurance they needed—just enough to extract themselves, but nowhere near enough to cover 9 car shipments. They got into an accident crossing Kentucky. He crashed all 9 cars he was carrying. My car was totaled. I couldn't find any information for weeks. No updates. The broker ghosted me. The carrier's phone was off. It took me months to figure out where my car was. The broker didn't want to help. He just disappeared, closed his LLC, and that was it. The carrier blamed someone else. Took me weeks to figure out what to do. I hired a lawyer and sued. But here's what I learned: they had no real office. Registered agent was just a mailbox. They all worked out of a co-working space. No physical locations. No accountability. When we finally served them, they'd already closed their operation. I sued their insurance instead. They had a $100k cargo limit covering 9 totaled cars. My damage claim was way beyond what they had on file. I got only a fraction. I lost the car, got a bill from my insurance, and after fighting these people in court, I was still $20,000 out of pocket. Justice was done on paper. But I actually lost.
My only fault was this: I didn't check. I took the cheapest guy to do it. And that mistake cost me $20,000 and time of my life fighting in court.
That taught me something. I spent the next few years learning how car transport actually works from the inside. What separates a real carrier from a ghost. What a broker's actual job is supposed to be. In 2024, we made a decision: we shifted our entire business model. We went from B2B food transport to car shipping for end customers. Why? Because we know what broken looks like. We do this right.

How we operate
We verify insurance, authority, and safety. Most brokers don't. We learned the hard way what that costs.
We don't use call centers or third-party lead platforms. We operate our own trucks, so we know what actually happens between pickup and delivery, most brokers never have. And we focus on consumers shipping their own car, not dealer volume, the customers with the least protection when something goes wrong.
Our process
From quote to delivery, step by step
Step 1 · Live quote
You give us shipping details. We give you a quote that's 90% accurate to the real market. No guessing. No surprises later.
Step 2 · Information & options
We get in touch, collect what we need, and explain your options. What you do. What we handle. Clear from the start.
Step 3 · Find your carrier
We post your shipment to thousands of verified transporters, collect quotes, and negotiate your best price.
Step 4 · Verify the carrier
Most brokers stop here. We don't. We verify safety record, insurance, driver, and truck, then send a contract that protects your shipment.
Step 5 · Schedule pickup
We call to confirm your pickup date and collect your deposit or full payment based on the terms we agreed.
Step 6 · Dispatch & tracking
We coordinate with the carrier, share your pickup details once they're close, and track your shipment end to end. Any problems, we handle them.
Step 7 · Delivery & follow-up
The carrier schedules delivery with you. If communication breaks down, we step in. Once your car arrives, we check in to make sure everything went right.
The team
Three people. Every shipment.
We keep the team small intentionally. Every customer works with someone who knows their shipment personally.
